Mission

Inspired by the possibility of great benefits available to everyone from correctly executed strength training, Safe Strength is on a mission to play a part in bringing strength training to those who need it most. In 2022, after several years of planning, the Safe Strength business has started to manifest out of the vision James has - a vision of delivering the best exercise intervention humans can experience, accessible in a way not currently provided in the UK.

I love to help people pursue active, healthy lifestyles by building strength. For me fell running, mountain biking and adventure racing are what I enjoy most. My experience of physical activities is very broad, from martial arts to golf - also I had a typical ‘deskbound’ lifestyle for over 10 years so appreciate my client’s wide variety of lifestyle factors.

Who is Safe Strength for?

Safe strength has clients aged from 30s to 80s with an average client in their 60s. Typically, a client wants to take a positive grip of their life by starting with their health. As well as sleep, nutritious diet and managing stress exercise is a powerful tool for improving their health. No other form of exercise is as fundamental as strength, for strength is needed to produce all movement and being strong enough creates confidence to tackle cardio vascular forms of exercise. When muscles get stronger, healthier and more active it positively effects every other organ in the body and as a result other health markers suchs as blood pressure and even frequency of bowl movements improve.

In the long term, reducing precription medicine and requiring less medical attention from the NHS can be achieved through lifestyle changes. Regular full body strength training is how clients build up basic health and robustness to be as prepared as possible for what the future brings.
